For veterinary professionals
A citizen of the Republic of Lithuania who wishes to have their veterinary surgeon professional qualification—obtained in the Republic of Lithuania (at the Lithuanian Veterinary Academy or, after 2011, at the Veterinary Academy of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences)—recognized as meeting the requirements of Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications; who is entitled to practise as a veterinary surgeon in the Republic of Lithuania; and who possesses the professional experience required under Directive 2005/36/EC (three years of veterinary practice within the last five years, where the qualification was obtained before 1 May 2004), shall submit an application to the State Food and Veterinary Service together with documents containing the information that must be certified by the State Food and Veterinary Service.
Recognition of professional qualifications as a veterinarian in the Republic of Lithuania for citizens of European Union member states, European Economic Area states, or the Swiss Confederation, or for members of their families.
The one-time or temporary provision of veterinary services in the Republic of Lithuania by a citizen of a European Union member state, a European Economic Area state, or the Swiss Confederation, or by a family member of such a citizen.
Services are provided free of charge.
