Food contact materials:

Materials and products intended to be brought into contact with food come in many different forms and can have different functions, such as wrapping and packaging materials, cutlery and containers, machines and appliances to make food, containers for transporting food, feeding bottles, containers, tanks, etc. None of them should pose a threat to human health or alter the composition or sensory properties (taste, smell) of the food.

Manufactures and/or suppliers of food contact materials and products must submit a notification to the SFVS in writing, by e-mail, by fax, or by other electronic means about the manufacturer and/or supplier of food contact materials and products and data about the manufactured and/or supplied products.
