The very first European funds transformed Lithuania, and today even the strongest companies in Lithuania could not imagine their growth without these investments; EU investments have reached businesses even in the most remote areas of the country. Everyone can see and appreciate the value that EU-funded ideas bring to every person, every region and every country.
- This year, project promoters will compete in seven categories:
- For the most innovative solutions. This award recognises companies that are introducing new technologies, investing in processes and developing new products and services.
- For creating a sustainable environment. This category recognises solutions that improve the quality of life and preserve the environment as well as save energy. The nomination is open to projects that use EU investments to improve the public environment, upgrade infrastructure, and provide renewable energy solutions and adapt them to the needs of modern people. Projects that are already contributing to the idea of a European Green Deal are particularly welcome.
- For investing in a modern school. This category recognises projects that have developed new tools for the educational process, introduced modern distance teaching systems and integrated STEAM activities into the curriculum. Also any solutions that promote creativity in school.
- For efficiency in medicine. The award is open to projects that have been able to change quickly in times of crisis, offering improved technological solutions for medicine and integrated healthcare services for families and society.
- For investment in people. This category nominates projects that have used EU investment in a targeted and effective way to create social initiatives: increasing the diversity of opportunities for people and improving their quality of life.
- For building community. The nomination covers projects that have successfully increased communication between people, involved community members in achieving common goals and active social life.
- For the most interesting small business projects. This nomination is looking for unconventional small business projects that develop products, brands or services that are new in the market.
A jury of impartial experts and well-known members of the public will evaluate the applications individually according to the established criteria and select the winners in each category.
The winner of the category “For investing in innovation in business” will be selected by the readers of the lrytas.lt news portal, who will vote online for the projects submitted in this category from 18 September to 31 October.
