This proven measure has helped Lithuanian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to find foreign partners and together participate in international RDI programmes.
“This measure aims to help businesses in the Capital and the Central and Western Regions of Lithuania to get involved in RDI partnership networks and become more attractive and competitive in international value chains. This eventually leads to the creation of new innovative products in our country,” says Iveta Paludnevičiūtė, Chancellor of the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation.
EUR 300 000 available under the call will be granted to innovative Lithuanian companies intending to participate in international RDI programmes together with foreign partners. In total, 26 projects were positively evaluated by the Innovation Agency, but EU funding was only sufficient for 14 of them: 6 from the Capital and 8 from the Western and Central Regions of Lithuania.
In response to business interest, the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation has decided to increase the budget of the call from EUR 300 000 to EUR 479 000 (EUR 479 443.66) and to allocate funding to the remaining 12 positively evaluated projects.
“The main objective of this measure is to help businesses find partners for international RDI projects, but we can also see other advantages of this measure for Lithuanian businesses.During international events, businesses also make new contacts which eventually translate into new partnerships and open the door to profitable markets,” comments Inga Lukošiūnaitė, Head of the Science and Innovation Projects Division of the Innovation Agency.
The InoConnect measure is funded by the Programme for the EU Funds’ Investments 2021–2027.
