New tool to help businesses find suitable funding quickly

New tool to help businesses find suitable funding quickly
The Innovation Agency has launched a financial instrument wizard to facilitate finding funding for businesses. The free tool covers a wide range of regularly updated financial instruments in one place. By answering a few simple questions about the scope and size of the business, the wizard will suggest the most suitable financing options.

It is important to note that the financial instrument wizard will be available to both very small and growing or mature businesses. In other words, there are no special criteria for businesses. All entrepreneurs can use the tool and get a personalised list of financial instruments to suit their business needs.

Targeted financial support

Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of the Economy and Innovation, notes that the Government has been consistently increasing its focus on targeted business support.

“To this end, a EUR 1 billion plan to strengthen the Lithuanian economy has been prepared, under which most of the calls for business and institutions have already been launched. This is an excellent opportunity for Lithuanian businesses to access funding to innovate, restructure and strengthen, and measures for business digitisation, research and experimental development will remain high on the agenda next year,” comments Ms Armonaitė.

Targeted State financial support for business is an effective way to boost the economic growth and development of the country. Therefore, the financial instrument wizard is expected to become a reliable tool to help achieve business objectives.

An efficient way to find funding

According to Jolanta Miloš, Head of Customer Experience Management of the Innovation Agency, funding from the State and the European Union (EU) encourages more innovative development. “Funding is often allocated for activities or areas that help businesses make a qualitative leap, such as support for research, technology development, business greening or innovation. Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for businesses to access these measures,” says Ms Miloš.

According to her, accessibility was a key criterion in the development of the financial instrument wizard for business. “Anyone who has been in a situation of finding finance for their business knows how time-consuming it can be to check different sources of funding,” adds Ms. Miloš. That is why the financial instrument wizard integrates the main financial instruments offered by the Innovation Agency, the Central Project Management Agency (CPMA), INVEGA, the Environmental Project Management Agency (EPMA), the National Paying Agency (NPA), the Employment Service, municipalities and others. Entrepreneurs can be sure they are not missing out and have access to up-to-date information on funding.
